D I E D At her home here on Tuesday morning at one o'clock, Mrs. C. C. (Charles Clinton) Snyder, after an illness of several weeks. The deceased was taken ill nearly seven weeks ago but her health somewhat improved again until two weeks ago when she suffered a relapse and from that time on she became perceptibly worse. There has been much sickness in her family all winter and four of the children have been quite ill two of them being very ill yet. Mrs. Snyder was a very loving and devoted mother and she nursed her beloved ones with all a fond mother's devotion and solicitude even though she was quite ill herself. Even when she saw that there were but small hopes for her, her anxiety was not for herself but for the beloved ones she must leave behind.

On Monday Dr. Brower of Hawarden was called in consultation with .Dr. Buck and everything possible was done for her, but she was beyond all human aid and on Tuesday morning at one o'clock her spirit flew to that brighter land where sufferings are known no more. She was fully conscious until the last moments and she told her beloved ones who were gathered about her that she felt herself going to a better and happier land and for them not to grieve for her. She leaves a husband, five children. father, mother, several brothers and many other relatives and scores of friends to mourn her loss. The remains were taken to Worthing (SD) Wednesday morning where they were laid to rest in the cemetery.

The Order of t he Eastern Star took charge of the funeral, the members of that order accompanying the remains to Worthing. The procession to the depot was led by the members of Woodmen lodge and scores of her friends who so sincerely mourn her loss, for she was esteemed and respected by all who knew her and numbered her friends by her acquaintances. We extend our heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved ones .she left behind and may He who tempers the wind to the shorn lamb bring consolation to their sorrow laden hearts.

Her husband Clinton Charles Snyder was born 27 apr 1862 Plymouth County IA, died 21 Jul 1950. Children listed on ancestry.com (one child was listed as private) Gertrude 1882, Georgia 1884, Lucille 1892, Fred 1890, and Cuba 1898. Her parents were Friederich ‘Fred’ Gerber 1834-1926 and her mother was Augusta Justine Neuheisel 1838-1903)
