EGBERT MENNEGA
Egbert Mennega, 83, of Sioux Center, died Thursday in a hospital at Sioux City. Services were at 10:30 p.m. Saturday in Bethel Christian Reformed Church at Sioux Center. The Rev. Henry Vanden Heuvel officiated. Burial was in Memory Garden. Cemetery with the Memorial Funeral. Home in charge.

Mr. Mennega was born April 6, 1894 in Assen, The Netherlands. He came to the United States in 1950, settling at Grand Rapids, Mich. He moved to Sioux Center last August. He married Grietje Van Dalen June 28, 1928 in Assen. He was a shoemaker by trade.

Survivors include the widow; two sons, Aaldert of Sioux Center and Harry of Abbotsford, B.C., Canada; and three daughters, Miss Wubbine Annegina of San Francisco, Mrs. Gertrude Elizabeth Christensen of Grand Rapids, and Mrs. Grace Ellen Wilms of Bradford, Ont., Canada; 16 grandchildren; a brother, Piet and a sister, Grietje, both of the Netherlands.
