John Hoekstra, 82, of Boyden died Saturday, February 27, at his home.
Services were at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, at Protestant Reformed Church of Hull with the Rev. Richard Moore officiating. Burial was in Hope Cemetery at Hull.

Hoekstra was born October 3,1905, in Berlikum, Friesland, The Netherlands, and came to the United States in 1914. He attended school in The Netherlands and Sheldon. He married Eva Te Paske February 24, 1932, in Orange City. The couple lived in Sheldon and Boyden. She died September 27, I960. He was a member of Protestant Reformed Church of Hull.
