George Moore
George L. Moore, 93, Hawarden, died July 10 at an Alcester, S.D. nursing home after a long illness.
Services were at 2 p.m. July 13 in the Dow Funeral Home. The Rev. Herbert Young officiated. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Moore was born Oct. 8,1882 at Bentonsport, Iowa. He was married to Clarice Harhold Nov. 12,1919 at Hawarden.

He was a veteran of the Spanish-American War. He belonged to the Masonic Lodge at Hawarden. Mr. Moore worked for the Chicago North Western Railroad as an engineer, retiring in 1953. He moved to Hawarden in 1918. Survivors include his widow; a son, John of Elkhart, Ind.; two grandchildren.
