LARRY E. KEITH
Mr. Larry Keith, age 60, of rural Maurice, passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2007, in a truck-train accident near Spencer.
There will be a memorial service on Thursday, August 9, at 3:00pm, at the Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City. The Rev. Dr. Perry De Groot will officiate. Interment will follow at the Sherman Township Cemetery, near Maurice.
Larry Eugene was born on January 5, 1947, in Sioux Center, the son of Cecil Frank and Jennie (Zwiers) Keith. He was raised at Orange City, where he graduated from the Maurice-OrangeCity High School. He then served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict.
On March 26, 1979, he married Rebecca Margaret Bunjes in Le Mars. They first made their home in Orange City and later moved to an acreage northwest of Maurice.
Larry was a truck driver who was employed by Demco in Boyden, Tony's Diesel in Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and Alliance Concrete in Orange City.
He enjoyed outdoor activities and his grandchildren were very special to him.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, "Becky"; a daughter and her husband, Shantel and Kevin Bothwell, of Twin Falls, Idaho; a son and his wife, Dustin and Paris Keith, of Ireton; two grandchildren, Tyler Dunn, age 8 years; and Blake Keith, age 16 months; eight brothers and sisters, Lynnette, and her husband, Mark Schuller, of Orange City; Harv Keith, and his wife, Steph, of Hudson, South Dakota; Les Keith, and his wife, Nancy, of Hot Springs, South Dakota; Glenda, and her husband, Roger Bailey, of Iowa Falls; Margene, and her husband, Jim Vander Wilt, of Littleton, Colorado; Patti, and her husband, Ron De Groot, of Brandon, South Dakota; Deb Semmler, of Mitchell, South Dakota; and Terri Harper, of Springdale, Arkansas; and many nephews and nieces.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Blaine, and a brother Dennis.
