August 15, 1916 - March 16, 2012
Leonard Zwiep, 95 of Hull, Iowa died Friday, March 16 at Pleasant Acres Nursing Home of Hull.
A memorial service will be held at First Reformed Church of Hull at a time to be determined in May.
Leonard Zwiep was born August 15, 1916 to Daniel and Nellie (De Stigter) Zwiep in Hull, Iowa. He attended school in Hull and graduated from the Hull High School.
He made his home in Hull where he drove truck for a road construction business. He was a lifetime member of the First Reformed Church of Hull. In his free time, Leonard enjoying collecting stamps and coins.
Leonard donated his body for medical research to the University of Iowa Medical School in Iowa City, Iowa.
Leonard is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Donald N. and Marcia Zwiep of Orange City, Iowa as well as seventeen nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Cecil Zwiep and his wife Leona and Tom Zwiep; three sisters: Helen Shults and her husband Ted, Marie Mears and her husband John, Jeanette Reed and her husband Charles.
