SIOUX CENTER. Iowa - Helen Reisma, 79, of Sioux Center died Wednesday, Dec. 12. 2001, at a Sioux City hospital. Services will be 10:30 a.m. today at Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Sioux Center.
Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center.
Mrs. Reisma was born Jan. 28. 1922, in Orange City, Iowa, the daughter of Christian and Aurelia (Bylsma) Geels. She was educated through the eighth
grade in Orange City. She married Jerry Reisma on Feb. 7,. 1945. She lived in Orange City, briefly in Bellingham. Wash., and then moved to Sioux Center. She assisted her husband in running the family business.
Helen was a member of Bethel Christian Reformed Church and a former member of the church guild. Helen enjoyed bird watching, gardening, socializing
with friends and Christmas lights and displays.
Survivors include three sons and their, wives, Denny and Marlene, Jerry and Angie and Jeff and Pam, all of Sioux Center; a daughter and her.husband, Beverly D. and Steve Ausberger of Grand Rapids, Mich.; a daughter-in-law, Dee (Reisma)Pieper; 18 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jerry; a son, Ron; two brothers, Vernon and Les; and a sister, Christyne.
