Dorothea Harmelink, 76, of Orange City died Sunday evening [October 26] at the Heritage House. Services were held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the First Reformed Church Chapel in Orange City. Rev. Ralph Ten Clay officiated. Burial was in West Lawn Cemetery, under direction of the Van Gelder Funeral Home.

Dorothea was born May 31, 1910 at Newkirk, the daughter of Gerrit and Jennie (Wagenaar) Harmelink. She moved to Orange City in 1926 from Newkirk and spent her life in Orange City where she was a domestic worker. She lived at the Heritage House for the past year. She was a member of the First Reformed Church.

Survivors include two brothers, Simon and Henry, both of Orange City; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters.
