TOWN AND COUNTY.
Alton Democrat: Hendrikus Hoffs of Alton died Thursday at eleven o'clock at the home of his daughter Mrs. William Te Grotenhuis, northwest of Hospers, where be was visiting. He went there last week in good health but took a cold which developed into bronchitis or something similar. He was sitting on a chair just before death and fell in a faint which ended in death. The deceased was seventy-two years old and had been a resident of Sioux county since 1879 when he homesteaded a farm two miles north of town. He lived there up to two years ago when he moved to Alton and built a home near the Reformed church. He leaves an aged wife and four children. They are Henry Hoffs, Mesdames Peter Muyskens and William Te Grotenhuis and Miss Minnie at home.
