E. Hendricks Dies At Home
Funeral Services Held in Hawarden Church Monday Morning for Farmer Who Resided in Union County
Funeral services for Ernest Hendricks, 62, were held at 9 o'clock at St. Mary's church in Hawarden Monday morning with Rev. Fr. R. Graf in charge. Interment was in St. Mary's cemetery.

Mr. Hendricks died at his home about seven miles southwest of Hawarden in Union county last Friday morning, following a lingering illness. Ernest J. Hendricks was born July 18, 1886, in Van Buren county, Mich. He came to Union county when a child with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Hendricks, and spent practically all his life in Union county. He was the oldest of thirteen children. He married Mary Josephine Bockelman of Chatsworth in Hawarden February 25, 1908.

Survivors are his widow and one son, Ernest at home, and seven brothers and four sisters, Art of Bonestecl, S. D., Everett and Jack of Alcester, Charles of Chatsworth and Mose, Vern and Floyd Hendricks, Mrs. Maud Skogman, Mrs. Rena Crow, and Mrs. Dave. Skogman, all of Hawnrden, and Mrs. Art McConnhic of Sioux City. One sister Dorothy preceded him death.

Out of town relatives who came for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Art Hendricks of Bonesteel, S. D., Mr. and Mrs. John Havey ,of Charles City and Mrs. Art McConnhie of Sioux City.
