Ireton Ledger August 9, 1912

Expires Suddenly.
The community was considerably shocked Tuesday to learn of the death of Mrs. Otto Hennrich who died very suddenly Monday night.

She had apparently been in the best of health and was unusually bright and happy Monday evening playing with their little boy until bedtime. Some time in the night she got up to close a window and after again lying down she was taken sick. She aroused her husband and he got up to call the hired girl to help them. He went to the phone to call a doctor and before he got to the bed she was died. The cause of her death was attributed to rupture of a blood vessel of the heart.

The funeral services were held at the house Thursday at 1:30. Rev. Schmidt having charge.

Deceased was born in the eastern part of Iowa April 21, 1885, and when three years old moved with her parents, Mr. And Mrs. Schiefen to Alton. She was married to Otto Hennrich at LeMars January 20th 1903.

Mrs. Hennrich leaves besides a sorrowing husband and little boy, a host of friends and relatives who will miss her from their midst. She was a good, True, loving wife and mother and kind friend. The sympathy of the entire community is extended to the sorrowing family.

Mrs. Otto Hennrich, without a moment's warning, passed away a little before midnight last Monday night. About eleven o'clock Mr. Hennrich was awakened by his wife who was making an effort to get her breath. By the time he had lighted the lamp and returned to her bedside she was dead. Dr. Null was summoned and pronounced her death due to heart failure. She had been in her usual health and had superintended the house work as usual Monday and had made no complaint so far as the family could notice, as she was in as rugged health as ever. She was 27 or 28 years of age. She leaves in the immediate family besides her husband, a son, who is five or six years of age. Arrangements for the funeral to be held at the German Lutheran church Thursday afternoon were made.
