Egbert De Leeuw, 72, died at his home Dec. 28, after an illness of about a year. Funeral services were held Jan. 2, at the First Reformed church in Orange City, with Dr. Colenbrander officiating. Burial was at the Middleburg cemetery.

Mr. De Leeuw was born Jan. 19, 1879 in The Netherlands. He was married to Elizabeth De Zeeuw, Feb. 23, 1905, at Middleburg. Seven children were born to this union, four sons and three daughters. One son preceded his father in death at the age of about three years.

He is survived by the widow, and the following children: Paul, Jake, and William, who live in the vicinity of Middleburg; Anna, Mrs. Wilbert Dykstra of Orange City; Elizabeth, Mrs. John Haverman of Hull; and Anglyn, Mrs. Marvin Bjork of Hartley, IA.

Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and three brothers, Albert of Rock Valley, Gerrit of Hull and John, who lives in The Netherlands.
