About Christmas time Mr. Drew was in Hawarden and called on some of his old time friends here.

Prior to his retiring from the bakery business in 1940, he operated a bakery in Sioux City in 1928 and also operated bakeries at Marshall and Springfield, Minn.

He was active in the Episcopal Church and a member of the Elks club while in Sioux Falls.

Following the death September 1, 1941, of his brother, Frank Drew, who worked 45 years on the Independent, Sidney returned to Hawarden to live with his mother.

Survivors are four sons, John of Seattle, Wash., Roswell K. of Sioux Falls, Ralph of Sioux City and Sidney, Jr. of Palacious, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Douglas Garwell of Minot, ND and six grandchildren. He was the last member of the Mrs. Elizabeth Drew family.
