Funeral services for Daniel R. Hetletvedt, 45, of rural Granville, who passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2004 at the Baum-Harmon Mercy Hospital in Primghar, from injuries suffered in a farm accident.

Services were Sunday at 2 p.m., February 29,2004 at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Germantown with Rev. Donald Erickson officiating. The burial was in the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Germantown. Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home of Paullina took care of the arrangements.

Daniel Richard Hetletvedt was born November 8, 1958 in Faribault, MN, the son of Lowell and Marion (Schwichtenberg) Hetletvedt. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith on November 30, 1958 and later confirmed on June 3, 1973 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Faribault. He attended elementary school, high school and vocational school all in Faribault. He was employed in the restaurant business and at Blue Jay Farms.

On June 20,1981 he was united in marriage to Joyce Ebel at St. John's Lutheran Church in Germantown. In 1984, the couple
moved to the Granville area where they began farming the Ebel family farm.

Daniel lived his life to the fullest. His family meant the world to him and he loved spending time with them. He enjoyed attending his children's many activities. Other hobbies included fishing, biking and he especially loved to ski. He was a good friend and neighbor to all, always willing to lend a helping hand.

He was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Germantown. He held various officers and was a member of the church choir. He was on the Zion-St. John School Board for several years. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Farmers Elevator.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Joyce, and daughters, Kassi, Kami and Krissa, all of rural Granville, his parents, Lowell & Mayion Hetletvedt; and two brothers and their wives, Denis- & Diane and Dean & Marcia, all of Faribault, one sister and her husband, Kay & Keith Jansen of Eagen, MN, his mother-in-law, Shirley Ebel of Paullina. He will be greatly missed by his dear brothers and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and father-in-law, Roy Ebel.
