Rites Held For larence Moody
Early Day Resident of Hawarden Dies After Brief Illness. Came Here 60 Years Ago

Clarence Moody, 65, of Sioux City, an early day resident of Hawarden, died last Friday at a hospital after a brief illness.

Mr. Moody was born May 16, 1882, in Ohio. He came to Hawarden with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Asa Moody, when a boy. The Moody’s operated the Depot hotel in Hawarden for many years. Later he accompanied his parents
to Salem, S. D. He had lived in Sioux City for 15 years.

Surviving are a son, Jules of Los Angeles, Calif., and a sister, Mrs. Florence Aalders of Sioux City.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Rutledge funeral home. Rev. C. G. Stevens of Wall Street Mission officiated. Burial was in Logan Park cemetery.
