Hospers - Funeral services were held Saturday, Decemeber 19, for Gerard Goedhart, who passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday evening. Services were held at 1 p.m. at the home and 1:30 at the First Reformed church at Hospers with A. Hellenga and Rev. G. Doctor of Sibley officiating. Interment was in the Hospers cemetery.

Gerard Geodhart was born January 16, 1917 at Hospers. On November 16, 1938, he was untied in marriage to Margaret Schuller of Hospers. To this union were born Harriett, Jerome, Peggy and Larry, all at home. He is also survived by his father George Goedhard of Arlington CA, and the following brothers and sister, Edward of Minneapolis, MN, Dorothy (Mrs. Gordon Stubstad ) of St. Paul MN, Raymond of Minneapolis and Frinces of Minneapolis. His mother Mrs. Hattie Geodhart preceded him on March 29, 1955.

He was a member of the First Reformed church of Hospers and was assistant of the Sunday school for 16 years.

Relatives attending the funeral service form a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Stubstad of St. Paul, George Goedhart of Arlingon, CA, Mr. and Mrs. Raymong Goedhart, Ed Gedhart of Minneapolis, Skee Goedhart of Brussels Belgum and a host of friends and relatives.
