Alvina was the daughter of Gerrit Kleinhesselink and Gertrude Vander Maaten Kleinhesselink.
On January 25, 1934, she married Henry P. Vander Zwaag at Alton. They farmed near Newkirk
until 1980, when they retired to Orange City. She was a member of the First Reformed Church.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Peter D. and Clifford, both of Orange City, and Gerald, of Hospers; ten grandchildren; brother, Joe W. Kleinhesselink, of Orange City; and three sisters, Mrs. Bernard (Henrietta) Van't Hof, of Sioux Center; and Mrs. Winnie Stander and Mrs. Russell (Mildred) Van Gorp, both of Orange City.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter and a sister.
