ArthurG.Holles,78, SiouxCity, died Wednesday, Oct 13,1993 at his home. Services were held Saturday, Oct 16 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The Rev. Paul-Louis Arts, pastor, and the Rev. Timothy Johnson concelebrated. Graveside services were
held at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Granville. The Rev. Clem W. Cumins officiated. Mr. Holies was born July 8,1915 in Granville. He married Mary M. Lammers
Jan. 21, 1941 in Granville. He owned and operated Art's Grocery Store in Granville for many years. The couple moved to Sioux City 40 years ago where he worked for the Sioux City Crockery and Ace Dry Goods until his retirement in 1975. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, five sons, Allen of Minneapolis, Minn., Glen of Fairfax, Va., Wayne of Sioux City, Don of Lafayette, La., and Mark of Rockville, Md.; two daughters, Karen Leach of Bend, Ore., and Kathy Hamilton of Lincoln, Neb.; a sister, Isabel Friedrich of Madison, S.D.; 15 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers were his sons. A memorial has been established in his name with Hospice of Siouxland.
