Death Claims Little Girl
Althea Lavona Holtdorf, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Holtdorf, passed away last Friday from double pneumonia.
The child was stricken with measles and this developed into pneumonia-and in her –weakened condition she was unable to combat the ravages of this disease.
Funeral services were held in the home because of the mother's illness preventing her attendance in the church and also in St. Paul's Lutheran church Monday with Rev. H.
W. Krieger in charge. Burial was made in the Lutheran cemetery.
Althea Lavona, daughter of Geo. A. and Luella Holtdorf, was born June 16, 1927, northwest of Ireton, and passed away April 27, 1934, at the age of 6 years, 10 months and 12 days. She leaves to mourn her passing her grief stricken parents, her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. M. Moeller and Mrs. Emma Holtdorf, her sister, Nita Norma, and a host of relatives and friends. In a way sunshine has left the Holtdorf home but "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord."
