Hospers News.
We regret to announce the death of A. J. Kramer residing north of town, Tuesday morning, Oct 10th, aged 67 years, eight monts and fourteen days. He had for a long time been a sufferer from heart trouble which was also the cause of his demise. Deceased was a resident of this county for the last fifteen years, and was well and favorably known. He was laid to rest in the burial grounds east of town Wednesday. The Democrat and his host of friends express their sympathies to the sorrowing relatives.
(He was buried in the Presb. cemetery east of Hospers Block 5, his wife Bessie/Betsy/Elizabeth Johnson was buried there too on Apr 5, 1935, a child was buried there in 1900 - source the cemetery records. In 1880 the family was livin in Mott Franklin Co. IA, Albert was 48, Elizabeth was 29, John 6, Bertha 5, Catherine 3, Henry 1 and Albert - baby. 1885 the family was in Franklin county Albert b. Netherlands 53, Betsy b. 1852 Norway was 33, John 10, Bertie 9, Katie 7, Henry 6, albert 4, Klaas 1. 1900 census for Lynn Tsp. Sioux County Bessie was 48, a widow, John was 26, Henry 21, Albert 20 and Joseph 14. In 1925 Iowa census Betsy was living in Sheldon IA with son Henry, she was 73 years and Henry was 46. Her parents were listed as Lars and Betsy Johnson. Betsy probably died at Sheldon IA as no obit in Sioux County could be found. She died or was buried in the Presb. Cemetery at Hospers on Apr 5, 1935. Son Joseph died about 1912 of a hunting accident.
