Dora M. Steinfadt, 92, of Le Mars, died Tuesday, March 2, 1999, at Brentwood Good Samaritan in Le Mars. Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 6, at St. John's Lutheran Church, E.L.C.A., with Rev. GaryLandsness officiating. Interment was in Memorial Cemetery.

Dora M. Andriessen was born October 27, 1906, on the family farm in Sioux County, Iowa, to Sipka and Geertji (Schaaf) Andriessen. Dora attended school in Ireton, graduating from Ireton High School in 1925. She taught school following gradution from high school.

Dora was united in marriage to Herman Steinfadt on March 13, 1926, at Elk Point, SD. Dora was a floor supervisor for the Kohout overall factory in Le Mars which later became Aalfs Manufacturing from 1943 to her retirement in 1972. Dora was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church where she enjoyed quilting for missions. She also enjoyed tatting and making afghans.

Survivors include five daughters, Betty Stinton, of Le Mars, Joyce Moritz, of Le Mars, Gladys Kock and her husband, Clarence, of Le Mars, Delores Day, of Roswell, NM, and Mavis Tonne and her husband, Rudy, of Fairmont, MN; three sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Virginia Steinfadt, of Cedar Rapids, Harold and Bonnie Steinfadt, of Jefferson, and Marian and Diane Steinfadt, of Le Mars; 32 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Don Lowry, of Ft. Dodge.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herman, on October 2, 1971; two great-granddaughters, three sons-in-law, five sisters and three brothers.

Pallbearers were Mike Powell, David Stinton, Don Rolling, Craig Steinfadt, Jim Steinfadt and Scott Steinfadt.
