The little eighteen months old son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Plagge, living east of town, died Wednesday morning of cholera infantum. The funeral was held from St. Mary's church Thursday morning at 9 O'clock. Their many friends sympathize with them in their sorrow.
(He is listed in the Sioux county cemetery index - Henry Plagge born 19 Jan 1898 died 30 Aug 1899 buried in St. Mary's cemtery at Alton IA. An account of the family is in the St. Mary's church book. Bernard Plagge was born Nov. 1, 1858 in Waleum Auts, Osenhendrof Germany. He married Mary Ann Vaonderhaar in New Vienna IA on Feb 3, 1888. Bernard died Oct 8, 1946. They were the parents of nine children, Joe, Fred, Joh, Bill, Rudy, Elizabeth and Ann, Mrs. Mary Klosterman and Mrs. Frances Pratt. (Henry not mentioned).
