Hawarden Independent, Hawarden, Sioux, Iowa, USA Thursday, March 23, 1905

Mrs. Louis Winterfeld from near Mammon, died at the home of her parents Saturday at 7 p.m., (March 18) leaving a husband and one child to mourn her loss. Symtoms of disease unknown. She was a guest at her sister's wedding on Wednesday and was taken sick later in the day, Nothing serious was expected until Saturday. The best of medical aid was procured, but to no avail. The remains were interred in the German Lutheran Cemetery near Maurice Tuesday. The sorrowing relatives have the sympathy of all in their deep bereavement.
