Mr. Gerrit Van Steenbergen of Hull, son of Mrs. W. Van Steenbergen of Sioux Center, passed away at the Sacred Heart Hospital at Le Mars on Tuesday morning, October 12th at 6:20 A.M. after an illness of five days. His death was caused by internal hemorrhage. He was taken sick suddenly last Wednesday while doing bookwork, and rushed to the hospital at LeMars following stomach hemorrhages. Meylink, Wilma and Helen, and two sons, Walter who is in the U.S. Navy, and Dale of Hull, three grandchildren and 2 brothers, John of Prairie City, Iowa and William of Grand Rapids.

His devoted mother, Mrs. W. Van Steenbergen of Sioux Center, has previously laid to rest two sons, Edward and Jacob, and her husband, in the family burial plot in the Sioux Center cemetery.

Mr. & Mrs. John Van Steenbergen of Prairie City arrived here Tuesday, and William Van Steenbergen of Grand Rapids is expected today. Funeral services will be held today, Thursday, October 14th, 1:30 P.M., from the home and 2:00 P.M., from the American Ref.
