Henrietta (Hattie) Ver Mulm, 85, died Friday, Feb. 19, 1993, in Hegg Memorial Hospital in Rock Valley, IA.

Henrietta Vander Vliet was born Oct. 26, 1907, in Carmel, Iowa. She married Frank Ver Mulm on Feb. 12, 1930, in Rock Valley. Together they farmed near Winfred and Canton before farming near Rock Valley. They retired and moved back to Rock Valley in 1968. Her husband died Oct. 15, 1972. She moved to the Valley Manor of Rock Valley in April of 1991.

Survivors include one son, Henry and his wife, Joann of Rock Valley, three daughters: Hermina Kaskie of Hawarden, IA, Mrs. William (Marcella) Langstraat of Rock Valley, and Mrs. John (Wilvina) Aardema of Leavenworth, Kan.; two brothers: Walter Vander Vliet of Sanborn, IA, and Cornie Vander Vliet of Luverne, MN; two sisters: Winnie Ver Mulm of Rock Valley, and Mina DeJong of Montevideo, MN; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one step-great-great-grandchild.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the First Reformed Church of Rock Valley, with burial in Valley View Cemetery of Rock Valley. Porter Funeral Home of Rock Valley was in charge of arrangements.
