VIS, NIEZINK, BRUMMEL

Henry J. Vis, 71, of Beaver Creek, Minn., died Wednesday, Nov. 29, in the Luverne hospital.

Mr. Vis was born July 2, 1918 in Hull. He served in the Army from 1944-46 during World War II in the Pacific. He married Johanna Niezink on Jan. 4, 1946 in Hull. They farmed in Orange City until 1964, then moved to farm in the Beaver Creek area. Mr. Vis was a member of Hills Christian Reformed Church where he was a past elder.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John P. Vis and Maggie (Brummel) Vis, brothers Albert J. Vis and Willard Vis, and infant granddaughter Janna Nibbelink.

Survivors include his wife Johanna, two sons, John of Denver, Colo., and Steven at home; four daughters, Mrs. Willard (Marge) Nibbelink of Luverne, Mrs. Harold (Glenda) Mellema of Reading, Minn., Mrs. Will (Evie) Pap of Luverne, Minn., and Mrs. Rod (Frieda) Fransman of Beaver Creek, Minn.; 16 grandchildren; one brother, Peter of Valley Springs and four sisters, Johanna Schreur of Hull, Alberta Visser of Hudsonville, Mich., Elizabeth Franken of Sioux Center and Kathleen Boer of Hartley.

Services were held on Saturday, Dec. 2 at the Hills Christian Reformed Church with burial at the church cemetery.
