Rev. Jean Vis, a retired minister at Holland, Mich., formerly of Sheldon, passed away Monday, July 11. Rev. Vis served Reformed churches at New Sharon, Ia., Morrison, Ill., and Sheldon, Ia. He was active in the ministry for 37 years, 26 of which years were spent at Sheldon.

Survivors are his widow; two daughters: Mrs. (Rev.) Geo. Douma of Grand Rapids, Mich.; Mrs. (Rev.) Gordon Van Wyk of Tokyo, Japan; one son, Eugene Vis of Rochester, New York. Funeral services were held in Holland, Mich., Thursday, July 14.
