Former Resident Dies at Steen

Word was received here this week of the death of John R. Vis, former Sioux Center business man at Steen, Minn. He died Monday, September 17 at Steen at the age of 67. He had been critically ill for about a week but had been failing for some time.

Funeral services will be held at Steen this week Saturday, September 22nd. Interment will take place in the Sioux Center cemetery where his wife was also buried more than sixteen years ago.

Survivors include two sons and three daughters. Mr. Vis will be remembered here as partner of A. Arendsen in the implement business in the location which is now the Chevrolet Garage.
