ALICE VIS

Mrs. Bert Vis, 59, of Rock Valley, died Friday, June 27, at McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls after a brief illness. Services were held June 30 at the Calvin Christian Reformed Church of Rock Valley, with the Rev. Edward J. Knott officiating. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery under the direction of the Porter Funeral Home.

Alice Vis was born January 11, 1921, at Ireton. On October 7, 1949, she married Bert Vis.

Survivors include her husband; one son, Harold, and one daughter, Mrs. Leon (Mary) Van Egdom, both of Rock Valley. Also five grandchildren and her mother, Mrs. Martha Eshuis of Sioux Center.

Also two brothers, Adolph of Rock Valley and Cornelius of Orange City; and six sisters, Mrs. Ben (Jess) Voetberg, Mrs. James (Etta) Driesen, Mrs. James (Margene) Kooima and Mrs. Ron (Geri) Koldenhoven, all of Rock Valley, Mrs. Marion (Freida) De Haas of Grangeville, Idaho and Mrs. Bryon [or Byron] (Anna Mae) Bruinsma of Sioux Center.
