Funeral held here December 29 for Mrs. J. W. TeSelle

Funeral services were held at the Vander Ploeg Funeral chapel here at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 29, for Mrs. John W. TeSelle, 89, of Firth, Nebr., who died December 27, at the Sioux Center hospital. Services were conducted by the Rev. Benjamin Sheldon, Mrs. TeSelle's son-in-law, and burial was in the West Lawn cemetery at Orange City.

Mrs. TeSelle, the former Jeanette Bogaard, was born July 21, 1884, at Orange City. She was married to John Ver Steeg March 9, 1910, at Orange City. He died in 1915. She was married to the Rev. Mr. Te Selle May 30, 1923, at Orange City. He died January 2, 1945.

A longtime resident of Orange City, Mrs. TeSelle later moved to Firth. She had been staying in Sioux Center with a daughter, Mrs. Herman Clemens, the past few months.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Harry (Anna) Hofmeyer of Hospers, Mrs. Wayne (Muriel) Graff of Mendota, Ill., Mrs. Benjamin (Amy) Sheldon of Washington, D.C., and Mrs. Herman (Phyllis) Clemens of Sioux Center; 22 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; three brothers, Arie Bogaard of Sanborn, Albert Bogaard of Firth, and Nick Bogaard of Orange City, and a sister, Mrs. Dick (Gertrude) Sterrenburg of Platte.
