Funeral services for Mrs. Meta Wilhelmine Caroline Winterfeld of Craig were herd today at 2 p. m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Craig. Rev. Erwin Schemmel officiated and burial was in the Craig Lutheran cemetery under direction of the Mauer Funeral home in Le Mars.

Meta W. C. Schulz was born the daughter of Joachin Schulz and Lizetta Wienraben in Mecklenburg, Germany on February 22, 1882. She came to the United States and Plymouth county, Craig vicinity at the age of two years and has since lived here. She had been sick for several years and passed away at the age of 82 years at the Hawarden hospital where she had been a patient for three days. She was united in marriage to Albert Fredrick Winterfeld on March 7, 1906 in Reading township, Sioux County and he preceded her in death in 1956. She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Frieda Johnson and Alvina Baack and three brothers.

Survivors include a son, Alvin Winterfeld, Le Mars; two daughters; Mrs. Esther Oloff. Craig and Mrs. Arthur Q. (Lucille) Wilken, Akron; five grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; a brother Will Schulz of Olvia, Minnesota.

Deceased was a member of St John's Lutheran Church, Craig.
