Funeral services were held at the Van Etten Funeral Home in Orange City November 19 for Bernard Zeutenhorst, 60, retired truck driver of Alton, a longtime resident of that community, who died at the Orange City Hospital November 15 after a 3 months illness.

Services were conducted by the Rev. Gary Van Koevering of Maurice and burial was in Nassau Township Cemetery.

Mr. Zeutenhorst was born February 6, 1913. He married Johanna De Jager of Maurice.

Survivors include seven sons, Howard of Hawarden, Lee of Roanoke, Va., Larry of Kansas City, Kan., Randy of Iowa City, Russell of Iowa Falls, Stan of Tama and Bob of Maurice; two daughters, Joann McBride of Rogers, Ark., and Ruth Conners of Bellmar, New Jersey; two brothers, John of Orange City and Ed of Rock Rapids; and two sisters, Daisy Vander Weide of Maurice and Irene Kintert of Grant's Pass, Oregon.

Services Held for B. Zeutenhorst

Bernard Zeutenhorst passed away at the Orange City hospital on Thursday, Nov. 15. Bernard was born February 6, 1913 at Sioux Center and was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Zeutenhorst. He lived in and around Alton for the past 35 years and was in the trucking business with Ervin Herrig for 24 years.

Bernard Zeutenhorst, 60, Alton, died Nov. 15, at the Orange City hospital of a lingering illness. [Same info. on services and burial.]

Mr. Zeutenhorst was born Feb. 6, 1913 in Sioux Center. He retired from trucking three years ago. On Nov. 22, 1933, he was married to Johanna De Jager.

Survivors include seven sons: Howard of Hawarden; Lee of Roanoke, Va.; Larry of Kansas City, Ks.; Randall of Iowa City; Russel of Iowa Falls, Stanley of Tama and Robert of Maurice; two daughters, Mrs. Bob McBride of Rogers, Ark., and Mrs. Gerald Conners of Belmar, N.J.; and 15 grandchildren. Brothers and sisters: Ed of Rock Rapids, John of Orange City, Mrs. John Vander Wiede of Maurice and Mrs. Teis Kuitert of Grants Pass, Oregon.
