From the Alton Democrat of Apr 29, 1899 Hawarden news - Chatsworth

The many friends and neighbors of Mrs. Mamie Huntley, nee Kennedy, of the west side, will be pained to earn of her death. She went to Florence, Colo,, last October and was married to Will Huntley of that place, but formerly of Hawarden. About two weeks ago the family received word she was dangerously ill Her sister Susan went to her at once to attend her. Word was received Monday that she died Sunday at 11
o'clock. Her remains were brought to Hawarden Wednesday, where the funeral was held from the Catholic church. The family have the sympathy of the community. Chatsworth Advertiser.
