We are sorry to chronicle the sad intelligience of Mr. R. L. Bouma's death, which occurred last sunday evening of pneumonia, after an illness of but two days' duraton. A wife and five children survive him. Mr. Bouma was respected and esteemed by all who knew him and his sudden passing saway will bring sorrow to many hearts in this coummunity. The funeral was held from teh Christian Reformed Church in Orange City.

They both came to the USA in 1890. He died 28 Feb 1899 IA In the 1900 census his wife was living in Holand tsp Greetje 29, born Aug 1870, children were Lou 8, Rena 6, Etta 4, Dick 2 and Andrew b. 1899. Grietje later married Jan Porte.)
