Eva Brouwer Van Voorst, 69, of Spencer died suddenly Wednesday, March 20, at her home in Spencer.

Services were at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Warner Funeral Home in Spencer. Additional services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 23 in the Calvin Christian Reformed Church in Rock Valley. The Rev. Andrew Van Schouwen officiated at both services. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery in Rock Valley.

Mrs. Van Voorst, the former Eva Brouwer, was born June 2, 1915. She lived her childhood in the Rock Valley area and received her education there. She married Sam Van Voorst March 8, 1935, in Rock Valley. They made their home in Rock Valley until moving to Spencer in 1965. He died Nov. 22, 1970. Mrs. Van Voorst was a member of Spencer Christian Reformed Church.

Survivors include three sons, Jim of Spencer, Harlan of Windom, Minn., and Ron of Owatonna, Minn.; two daughters, Elaine De Royter and Glenda Yeager, both of Spencer; one sister, Dora Van Otterloo of Bellflower, Calif.; 22 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
