Monday word as received here that our former citizen, W. H. Vreeland, known as Judge Vreeland, had died at Hot Springs, S.D. He was an old soldier of the Civil war and has entertained many a class in the high school when they were studying that part of history. The teachers had the old gentleman come down and related things he had seen. He was a justice of the peace here for many years and was loved and highly respected. A large number of our citizens went to Hull Tuesday to be present at the funeral which was held in the American Reformed church there.
