Wilmina, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ring J. Vander Schaaf, was born July 26, 1924 at Sioux Center, Iowa. She graduated from Sioux Center High School and attended Westmar College in Le Mars, Iowa.
She was united in marriage to Bernard Vermeer on February 24, 1944 at Sioux Center, Iowa. They made their home at rural Orange City, Iowa and later moved into Sioux Center, Iowa.
She was an active member of the First Reformed Church of Sioux Center, Iowa where she taught Sunday School and Catechism and was a member of the Women’s Guild. She was also a member of the Christian Women’s Club.
Mrs. Vermeer passed away November 4, 1985 at a hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of sixty.one years, three months and eight days.
She is survived by her husband, Bernard, two sons and three daughters: Darrell of Orange City, Iowa; Marlene of Phoenix Arizona; Wanda of Phoenix, Arizona; Jeris of Maurice, Iowa; and Norma (Mrs. John Van Duran) of St. Paul, Minnesota; and five grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers: John R. Vander Schaaf of Orange City, Iowa; Hein Vander Schaaf of Sioux Center, Iowa; and two sisters, Angeline (Mrs. Bert Vermeer) and Margret (Mrs. Tony Rensink) both of Sioux Center, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by two infant daughters, her parents, one brother and one sister.
