Hermina Vermeer, 97, of Sioux Center died Friday, January 29, in Sioux Center.
Services were at 11 am. Monday, February 1, at First Reformed Church - in Sioux Center with the Rev. Harold Lenters officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Born Hermina Hoksbergen on January 21, 1891, in Sioux County, she married Evert G. Vermeer January 3, 1912, at Sioux Center. He died June 15, 1954. She was a member of First Reformed Church and the Missionary Circle of the church.
Survivors include three daughters, Priscilla Postma of Sheldon, Alice Sneller of Sioux Center and Esther Popma of Clara City, Minnesota; two sons, Gerrit E. of Lynden, Washington, and Verlyn of Rock Rapids; 17 grandchildren: 35 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Scholten. of Sioux Center.
