Mrs. William A. Marienau of Ireton, age 83, passed away on April 9, 1973 at Sioux Center. Funeral services will be on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Ireton, with Rev. Herbert Gould officiating and burial in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Marienau was born Elma C. Peebles on Nov. 4, 1889 at Ireton. She was united in marriage to W.A. Marienau on July 26, 1915 at St. Paul. Minn. Her husband opertated the Drug store in Ireton for 33 years. He preceded her in death on June 17, 1963.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. Erwin (Myrna) Varenhorst of Ireton, Mrs. Milton (Eva Frances) Hillers of West Covina, Calif. and Mrs. Walter (Lovanne) Muth of Norwalk, Calif., 9 grand children and 2 great grandchildren; and one sister Mrs. Ellen Reid of West Covina, Calif.
