FATALLY INJURED IN PLANE CRASH
Franklin Elliott of Sioux City, who was fatally injuried in an airplane crash near Sloan Sunday, was a couisn of Mrs. M.C. Callan and Mrs. Minnie Johnson of Hawarden and Wm Burke of Hudson. His mother, Mrs. Isabelle Elliott was formerly Isabelle Jones and lived in Hawarden when a girl. Mrs. Elliott was representative from Woodbury county in the state legislature a few years ago.

Donald F. Olson, 25, of Sloan and Elliott were riding in a plane, with Elliott as pilot and were flying low over a corn field when a wing tip touched the ground. The plane crashed nose down and burst into flame. The men died from burns. Olson died shortly after the accident and Elliott died in a Sioux City hospital Monday morning.

Elliott is survived by his wife and child and his mother. Mrs. M.C. Callan, Mrs. Minnie Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Wm Burke and Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Burke of Hudson attended the funeral in Sioux City Wednesday morning
