BRENNEMAN, ENNEMA, SCHUITEMAN, DEZEEUW

Andrew Brenneman,84, of Sioux Center formerly of Rock Rapids, died Saturday, May 10, at Royale Meadows Care Center in Sioux Center. A memorial service was Tuesday at 11 a.m. at First Reformed Church of Sioux Center with the Rev. Roger Voskuil officiating, Interment was in Memory Gardens Cemetery of Sioux Center

Mr. Brenneman was born May 17, 1923, to Herman and Grace (Schuiteman) Ennema. He was raised on the family farm near Sioux Center, On March 22, 1945, he married Joan De Zeeuw. Following their marriage the couple farmed near Sioux Center for eight years before settling on their farm near Rock Papids. They were member of the First Reformed Church of Rock Rapids where he served several terms as a deacon and elder. In 1985 they retired from farming and made their home in Rock Rapids. After his wife's death on December 15, 1997, he moved back to Sioux Center where he joined his original church home, First Reformed Church of Sioux Center. He became a resident of ther Sioux Center Nursing Facility in 2002.

Survivors include his four sons and daughter-in-laws, Howard and Arla (Hansen) of Hartford South Dakota, Arlin and Glenda (Johgerius) of Orange City, Wendell and Debra (Van Oort) of Altus, Oklahoma, and Carl and Barb (Konz) of Brentwood, Tennessee; 16 Grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; his brother and sister-in-law, Herm and Adelene Brenneman; two sister, Wilmina Wynia and Bertha Vermeer; sister and brother-in-law Anna Mae and Don Broek, and sister-in-law Joan Brenneman, all of Sioux Center; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his brother, Arthur Brenneman; sister and brother-in-law, Tracy and John Hoogland; and brother-in-law, Martin Wynia and Harvey Vermeer
