Froom the Alton Democrat of Jan 14 1899 Boyden news. But took the more descriptive article from the Boyden Reporter of Jan 13, 1899.
The sad funeral of baby Alice, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hiram Frank occured Wednesday from the United Presbetherian church. Rev. J. M. Acheaon conducting the service. The little one fourteen months old, held in her mothers arms the night before and without a struggle passed into the great beyond. The little cherub had been sick with lung fever but wwas apparently better when death claimed her for its own. A large company gathered at the church which kind friends lad beautified with floweres and plants, symbolic of the pure life flown. The worthy family have the sympaty of the community.
(I could find now evidence of a Hiram Frank living in the area of Boyden in the 1895 or 1900 census. There was, however and Amos Frank born 1855 IA family with wife Kate Woods born 1867 and three children Gladus 1880, roland 1891 and Clifford 1893. I am not sure this is the correct family. )
