Mrs. Tinklenberg
HOSPERS — Funeral serviceswere held, Wednesday, June 13, in the First Christian Reformed church in Orange City, for Mrs. Simon Tinklenberg. She died early Sunday morning, June 10. Burial
was in Hospers. Mrs. Trientje Tinklenberg (nee
Toering) was born in the Netherlands on March 15, 1870. She came to America at the age of 23.
In 1893, she was united in marriage to Andrew Oordt at Hospers.
To this union were born the following children: Andrew of Hospers, Maggie (Mr, John Uittenbogaard) of Seattle, Wash.,.
Mince of Hospers, Annie (Mrs. Wm. Harkema) of South Holland, Ill.; Jake of Orange City,
Gertrude (Mrs. Ed. Vermeer) of Sioux Center. One child died in infancy.
Mr. Oordt died Februarv 27, 1916. In 1926, Mrs. Oordt married Simon Tinklenburg at Orange City. Mr. Tinklenberg died July 12, 1945.
In addition to her children, Mrs. Tinklenberg is survived by one brother, Albert Toering of
Castlewood, S. Dak. There are 21 grandchildren and 17 greatgrandchildren.
