Obituary: Rock Valley, IA: Ryan Heynen, 40, of Rock Valley, died Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Hegg Hospital due to cancer. Funeral Service will be 11 am Saturday at United Reformed Church, Rock Valley. Private burial at Valley View Cemetery. Rev. James Sinke officiating. Visitation will be Friday until 5 at Porter Funeral Home and then 6-8 pm at United Reformed Church.Ryan was born April 7, 1971 at Sioux Center, Iowa, son of William G. and Wilma (Schoep) Heynen. He attended Hull Christian grade school and graduated Western Christian High School at Hull in 1989 and then worked for Rens Construction. Ryan married Michelle Vande Kamp on January 9, 1993 at Calvin Christian Reformed Church at Rock Valley. They lived at Rock Valley where Ryan worked for Valley Machine until 2005 when his cancer reoccurred. He did enjoy playing games and cards and also following his sons activities and his part-timed job at Pizza Ranch. Ryan always had a smile.Ryan is survived by his wife, Michelle; sons, Jade, Jared, and Benjamin; parents, William G and Wilma Heynen of Boyden, IA; parents-in-law, Alan and Marlene Vande Kamp of Rock Valley; brothers, Veryl (Kandace) Heynen, Bruce (Kim) Heynen all of Boyden, IA, Arlo (Connie) Heynen of Sheldon, IA; in-laws, Arden (Sue) Vande Kamp, Greg (Diane) Vande Kamp all Sioux Falls, SD, Brian Vande Kamp of Gillette, WY, Mike Vande Kamp, Darin Vande Kamp both of Rock Valley, Audrey (Doug) Schuller of Orange City, IA, Julie (Kevin) Van Middendorp of Sioux Center, IA, Rebecca Vande Kamp of Rock Valley; many nieces and nephews.Ryan is preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry (Lenora) Heynen, Ben (Jennie) Schoep.
