Orange City - Mrs. Ella Duistermars, a Pioneer Home resident, passed away Wednesday evening at 7 p.m., in the Grossmann hospital where she had been a patient for 5 weeks for a heart condition and complications. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Home and at the Second Chr. Ref. Church with the Rev. J. Masselink officiating. Burial was in the Orange City Cemetery. Mrs. Duistermars was born Dec. 1, 1870 in Waupun, Wisc., and came to Sioux County as a child. She was married Nov. 10, 1891 to Dirk Duistermars who died Nov. 10, 1916. Mrs. Duistermars lived in the Pioneer Home for several years. Surviving are the children: William & Dick of Orange City; George of Sioux City; Albert of Bellflower, CA; Anthony of Glendale, CA; Jake and Elmer, both of Sioux Center; Mrs. Winifred Woodburn and Mrs. Marie Wielenga of Redlands, CA; and Mrs. Dick Duistermars of Orange City. There are 16 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Evert & Jake Mouw of Orange City; 3 sisters: Mrs. Anna De Jong and Mrs. Hubert De Jong of Maurice and Mrs. Dick Kreykes of Sioux Center.
