Neal De Koter, 89, of Sioux Center died Tuesday, June 7, in a hospital in Sioux Center.

Services were at 10 a.m., Friday, June 10, at Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center with the Rev. Frank Snuttjer officiating. Burial was in West Lawn Cemetery at Orange City.

De Koter was born March 19, 1899 in The Netherlands where he lived his youth and attended school. He came to the United States in 1921. He married Alice Hagens in Newkirk, November 7, 1939. The couple farmed near Orange City and later moved to Sioux Center. She died December 30, 1987.

He was a member of First Reformed Church of Orange City.

Survivors include a brother, John of The Netherlands and many nieces and nephews.
