Frank K. De Boer, 75, of Rock Valley died Tuesday, October 11, at Valley Manor In Rock Valley.
Services were at 1:30 p.m. Friday, October 14, at the Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley with the Rev. Harlan De Jong officiating. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery.
De Boer was born October 16, 1918, on a farm near Inwood, the son of Klaas and Agnes (Vander Werff) De Boer. He was an Army veteran of. World War II, having served in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater and Philippine Liberation from December 5, 1944, to November 20, 1946. He farmed in the Rock Valley area until 1978, when he retired and moved to Rock Valley.
Survivors include a sister and her husband, Elizabeth and Albertus Van Beek of Sioux Center; a brother-in-law, John Meerbeek of Rock Valley; five nephews; and seven nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mrs. John (Hattie) Meerbeek; an infant sister; three brothers, Gerrit, John and Gilbert De Boer, and an infant brother.
