Anna De Boer, 92, of Sioux Center died Monday, October 21, at the Sioux Center Hospital Nursing Wing.
Services were at 10:30 a.m, Thursday, October 24, at Carmel Reformed Church with burial in the Carmel Cemetery
The former Anna Valentine was born January 11, 1899, in Doon. She lived in the area until she married Will De Boer October 27, 1916, at Doon. They farmed in the Rock Valley area except for a few years in Wisconsin. He died in 1964. She became a resident of Pleasant Acres in February 1983 and moved to the Sioux Center Nursing Wing in May 1983.
She was a member of Carmel Reformed Church and the Helping Hand Society.
Survivors include three daughters, Leona Sandbulte of Luverne, Mmnesota, Joanne Ymker of Hawarden and Lois Warntjes of Lakewood, Colorado; 18 grandchildren; and 41great-grandchildren. Source: Sioux Center News of Oct. 30, 1999
