Anna De Boer
Mrs. Anna De Boer, age 90, of Orange City, passed away Wednesday night, Sept. 19, 1984 at the Orange City Municipal Hospital.
Anna was born July 24, 1894, near Orange City, the daughter of Henry Rowenhorst and Wilmina (Walraven) Rowenhorst. On Oct. 2, 1919, she married Douwe D. De Boer, near Orange City. They farmed near Alton until 1958, when they retired to Alton. Mr. De Boer passed away Dec. 10, 1971, at Orange City. On May 17, 1977, Mrs. De Boer became a resident of the Pioneer Memorial Home in Orange City.
She was a member of the Reformed Church of Alton. In earlier years she had been active in church
circles and the Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include two sons, Homer of Orange City and Robert of Alton, two daughters; Mrs. Edwin (Charlotte) Meyer of Ireton and Mrs. Delmar (Charlene) Kloster of Longmont, Colo., 16 grandchildren, six two brothers, Henry Rowenhorst of Orange City and Otto H. of Sheldon; a sister, Mrs. Dick (Lyda)
Duistermars of Alton.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Dc Boer was preceded in death by a son, Dudley, in October of 1964
two sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 24 at the Alton Reformed Church with the Rev. Ray Tilstra officiating. Interment followed at Nassau Township Cemetery, under the direction of the
Van Etten-Oolman Funeral Home of Orange City.
