Death of Mrs. Peter Traufler.
Mrs. Peter Traufler died at her home in Granville last Tuesday, after a long and painful illness, at the age of thirty-seven years. She was born at Luxemburg, Dubuque county IA, where she resided with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. Ernster, until January 11, 1888, when she was untied in marriage with Mr. Traufler. they then came to the western part of the state and located in Remsen and four years later removed to Granville, their present home. Being the village blacksmith Mr. Traufler has a wide circle of friends and acquaintances, who will sympathize with him in his deep sorrow.
Deceased was a devout Christian and was loved and respected by all who knew her.
The funeral was held from the Catholic church in Granville, Thursday morning at 10 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Father Stromberg and was very largely attended.
